The United States Border Patrol has erected a temporary facility to manage the detention of several hundred people after a recent surge of migration in the El Paso region.
The enormous temporary tent is based at the Guadalupe port of entry east of El Paso. It can hold 500 people and was built to accommodate a surge of Central American immigrants at the southern border.

The Border Patrol’s El Paso Sector had nearly 4,000 unaccompanied children this year, more than double the previous year.
500 people in one tent!
