That’s what has the party’s money men scared shitless, that they might have a repeat of Obama’s first term, falling way short of their hopes in the midterms and then failing to win back the WH. Yeah, they won in VA, but the win here and the loss in NJ were narrow and that doesn’t give a clear direction forward for next year. Meanwhile, there’s an unofficial “Trump primary” currently running where he’s running around and endorsing candidates, further complicating the party’s message going into next year.

I find that I can bear the misfortunes of the GOP donor class with great fortitude. The only problem with that hostile indifference is that the GOP crashing and burning may ruin the country if the media and the electorate can’t find the good sense to stop voting R as Republicans become ever more deranged.

Honestly, I’m surprised the GOP donor class is putting up with all this crap. Perhaps decades of unchallenged rule has completely rotted out their brains.
