One of the more underreported stories on abortion is the right’s practical, if not legal, victories on many fronts. In some rural right-leaning states, there are few, if any, abortion providers whatsoever, largely because of the intimidation of groups like Operation Rescue. Most docs now won’t take the risk of entering the field, understandably, since the threats and general pain in the ass is just too much.
