Each stop on the Romney overseas trip is clearly intended as symbolic references to specific aspects of their “President Obama snubbing allies” meme. It’s their semi-clever way of getting around the prohibition against overseas foreign policy criticisms. I’m guess what happened with the Telegraph was it was Romney’s team background priming their narrative to a ideologically sympathetic local paper (hence their pushing the Churchill bust idiocy). In Poland it will be all about the strategy shift to a multilateral-NATO ship-based missile defense, and obviously in Israel they’ve broadcast an attack based on the lack of a Presidential visit to the country so far.
