Er— you didn’t really make your case there. Why are the words ‘right to choose’ wrong? You said that they’re choosing something. I don’t think anyone is under the impression it relates to ice cream.

What would you prefer instead?

I don’t think it is just about women. It is about women, men, babies, the concept of family and sexual mores. One of the reasons conservatives oppose easy abortion is that it goes hand in hand with having sex with whomever you want whenever you want, whereas the old fashioned concept of family and morality involved, at least outwardly, disapproval of casual sex and social/moral pressure to have sex within wedlock.

This is not necessarily such a bad thing, when one looks at the result of the sexual revolution/feminism, with the divorce rates sky high and the high percentage of kids who grow up in what we used to call broken homes, with much greater risk of getting into all sorts of sad trouble.
