No, I really don’t think it needs looking into, considering the source. If credible reports show up elsewhere that there was some impropriety, then I’ll start caring more. Stories from Fox News and the New York Post about the Park51 project have zero credibility.

If you look at this map:

You can see that their building is part of a contiguous lot. The previous owners sold them the whole building including the warehouse next door. Like I said before this is just a pending agreement with Con Edison either involving leasing the land (which is not uncommon) or also signing a utility access agreement.

The dash-dot line labeled REUC (Real Estate of Utility Companies) can either be a utility line or border. The lease portion may very well be southeast of that line.
