re: #503 Pie-onist Overlord

I used to work in downtown Detroit and walked through the lobby of the Greektown casino to get to my workplace in the building next door.

It was depressing to see people sitting at the slots at 6:30 AM.

I’ve always disliked gambling, since long before I was Muslim. I lived in Atlantic City for almost a year before heading for NYC. The casinos disgusted me because they bring nothing good to people except those who own them, and they know—down to the penny—how much they’re going to make per head that comes through the door.

People go in there and destroy their lives. Yeah they do it by choice, but still. Then there’s all the other crap that comes along with the casinos: organized crime, prostitution, drugs, etc.

Ugh.
