I don’t know about immoral but unpractical perhaps. Other animals do eat other animals but it’s definitely a legitimate point to talk about the resources consumed. But yeah I am a hypocrite I admit it, I eat a ton of meat. I have successfully tried mixing my diet up. It’s just yeah meat tastes so good.

Other animals can’t reason and understand what resources they consume.
I think over-consuming resources is probably immoral, even ignoring the taking of life. I’m still not giving up meat, even if that makes me part of the problem.

Also some animals, cats for example, would die if they even tried to live without meat. We don’t require meat as long as we’re very careful to get the nutrition we need from vegetables, beans, and nuts.
