What makes you think he’s a lousy cop? Sounds like he was wrongfully fired. The courts and arbitrator agree.

In that case there were half a dozen county employees that was sleeping with that woman. Everyone was fired. If the police chief believes the cop should be fired (which is a rarity) then it should be his prerogative to fire someone whose detrimental to his force.
