This Obama using the n-word brouhaha…brings me to a serious question I’ve always wanted to be ask some white folk who get all upset over Black folk using the n-word. Why do you want to use it? If allowed to use it, when would you? I mean, I just don’t understand the NEED some white folk have for “permission” to use the word.

You can use the word all you like, even in “polite” company, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences and repercussions.

Asking the wrong guy since I don’t want to be able to use the word. I think some white people have this delusional idea that the n-word is somehow close to cracker or whatever and they think “Hey, a black guy’s called me cracker before so why can’t I use that word?” You can’t explain to these types that cracker hasn’t been used to dehumanize white people the way the n-word has for blacks. And hell furthermore cracker like the n-word was made up by whites. I can laugh if I’m called cracker or honkey because the white people haven’t been subject to slavery, injustice, etc by black people using that word.
