Presumably she got the divorce without their permission, so she could re-marry without their permission. I hope she doesn’t have to wait until they die.

I’m not sure they opposed the divorce, just as they did not disapprove of mine in and of itself. They do accept adultery as valid grounds and her old man was apparently something of an alley cat. It is just re-marriage that they oppose. They believe it is de facto adultery.
