no, he was 9 yards short. Ponder used Peterson for several short yardage passes, including a TD, but those don’t count towards a rushing total. It was an effective strategy, though, and the win was the critical thing.

Unfortunately, that win means the Vikings get to go to Green Bay and play the Packers next week at Lambeau Field. So Green Bay will still likely have the last laugh.

Too bad for Peterson, that would have been good, I think. As for the Packers, this is probably a better turn out - they do very poorly with bye weeks in the playoffs.
