One city - I forget where - is trying it already. You can either “subscribe” to 911 for (if I recall aright) $45 a year or else pay $350 (again, from memory) per usage.

I haven’t heard of that. Are they trying to cut down on unnecessary calls? i hear that’s a real burden at times.
