The only reason to cite something, as Geller is doing, is to say “See, this person agrees with me”. It is so fucking obvious that the merits of that person matter deeply that I am continually astonished by people who cite someone who supports them and then, when that person is revealed as a fucker, say “Well, I didn’t know.” If you didn’t know anything about them, then why’d you cite them?
