I rarely even post on either Facebook or Twitter anymore, because it is becoming more and more evident that the true sociopaths posting nowadays outnumber even the most dedicated of trolls, and I have no desire whatsoever in engaging either in conversation.

I don’t do Facebook much but my experience has been overall very positive. I have learned “where are they now” about 1960s High School buds in Chicago that would have never happened otherwise. It’s enabled me to reconnect a bit with a few old study buddies from Bradley U, circa 1971-1974. It has pleased me to see that most of my social acquaintances here in Texas are as liberal as I - something we all have generally learned not to discuss in most social settings in person cuz it’s, yanno, Texas. LOL

Facebook has given me a line to cousins/family with whom I wouldn’t otherwise be in touch with at all and reignited a few relationships that were once very close but fell into distance because life happens. Likewise it has also shown me that the distance that has grown between me and others who were once inseparably close is now too vast to ever cross and that’s sad but okay.
