Well, the good news is that Paul’s budget won’t be the one passed. We’ll get a compromise instead. And the wingnuts will try to pretend they never planned to insist on Paul’s budget, but Killgore will have the screenshots with which to embarrass them. >:D

I’m not at all worried about the screenshot. What I’m increasingly worried about is what is going to happen when these Paulian extremists are in a position to propose and pass a budget. I have been clinging to the idea that the Paulified Republican wingnuts are just playing at crazy because they think it’s fun. I’m starting to question that and I’m leaning more towards mass permanent insanity. Their base has no values beyond what Fox News tells them. They’re electing representatives who are extremists and will go along with any crackpot scheme presented to them. This is going to be very bad for the country.
