How is drinking raw milk any different than eating raw hamburger? Or smoking a cigarette, or eating too much bacon, or smoking a joint? All of these should be within the realm of personal decisions.

smoking a cigarette or a joint or eating bacon might have a negative effect on your health over the long run, ingesting tainted foodstuffs can kill you immediately.

I see a big difference there.
