A Toddler Sneaked Through The White House Fence Last Night

Secret Service agents certainly weren’t expecting to intercept a toddler Thursday night on the White House lawn, just as President Barack Obama was preparing to deliver a statement on Iraq.

The child squeezed through the iron bars of the fence in front of the President’s residence around 8:10 p.m., according to a White House pool report.

Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said the toddler, who wasn’t identified, was let off easy.

“We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on way with his parents,” Donovan said, as quoted by the pool report.
