The Rio Games may rival Sochi in terms of bad outcomes, not that it will change how the host cities are selected and venues are prepared in a timely fashion.

Still think the Games should have permanent homes, instead of rotating among cities that have to build infrastructure and venues that can quickly fall into disuse and disrepair - money that could go to other and better uses.

Greece should be permanent home to Summer Games. Winter Games should be in Switzerland permanently.
