I was curious about open land in Gaza, and found this land-usage map.
Looks like there is more than enough open space for both the living and the dead.

It looks like that was done when Israel had settlements there, AND it shows a lot of land being used for crops. I suspect most if not all of the cropland is no longer being used for crops, giving Gazans an “excuse” to have those tunnels for their desperately needed food. So that means even more land.
