re: #537 rurality

I am amazed that you don’t know Dylan, have an album that you like. I’m 50 and he’s been in my face for about my whole life, not to say I really enjoyed his braying early on, and maybe it was the fucked up juxtaposition of my freshman year hallway, Joan Armatrading (liked) Bee Jees SAturday Night Fever, oof, Roomate’s Debbie Boone, Bob Marley, Little Feet, GDdead, Dylan was such a relief. I probably put more weight on his words than he did—I’ve come to think he was the master of contrived gibberish, but Blood on The Tracks , defies this jaded attitude. It is one of the truly great albums, no drugs reguired.

No, i exaggerated slightly for comic effect— I have Blood on the Tracks of course, but in general Dylan kinda left me cold. I didn’t even start liking that until I was in my 20’s and I hardly know anything apart from that album.
Cato is beating some Dylan into me, and that’s cool.
