My grandson had an ear infection last year caused by a spider crawling into his ear while he was sleeping. Ack. Freaked everyone out except the doctor and my grandson who thought it was awesome when they showed him all the spider bits they washed out of his ear. Boys, geesh.

I like spiders, they really don’t bug me as long as they aren’t big and crawly on me. Or poisonous, we’ve had Black Widows around here in the past, yipes.

Now cockroaches are another story. I hate them, they are nasty and gross. Down here in the south we have big ones that can fly. They call them Palmetto Bugs. HA. Flying Cockroaches, some of whom need to call into air traffic control before landing and taking off. Yuck, ew, ack. It doesn’t matter how much I clean I still find them in the cupboards and stuff. Even with an exterminator coming in once a quarter. I hate them. Appearently they live outside under our deck and short of toxifying the whole area there’s not much we can do. With a dog, a kid and sometimes little ones around I can’t go full metal death mode on them.
