Clerks was something of a genuine movie experience for me. I was 13 or so, my parents rented it on VHS. I waited until they were done watching it and took it to my room to watch (my folks let me have my own TV and VCR when I became a teenager, as it were).
That late night it etched into my head something fierce. Clerks to a 13-year-old is the best thing ever. Several times I laughed so hard I was crying when I watched that movie that night.
Ah memories!
