He’s such a bullshit artist. Secondly, he should and I bet he does know as your state’s former governor that the flag only really started being part of the state capitol in the 50’s and 60’s as a direct response to the Civil Rights Movement. It’s not about heritage at all. It was about bigots like Sanford’s ideological ancestors trying to intimidate blacks and their progressive white allies from doing Civil Rights work.
