Seriously, don’t do that. It will play hell with your credit. Having a line of unused credit on an open card is better….. for some weird reason, closing an account, even yourself, knocks you down a few points.
However…… it’s weird that you didn’t apply for the card. Pre-approved offers are common, but they don’t generally set up the account. Check around and make sure no one signed your name……
