Ouch! Not smart. #1 son returned from his overseas church mission and spent the last few weeks interviewing college advisors and the various recruiters for the US millitary. The Air Force didn’t bother showing up because their quotas were full a year in advance. The Navy was ok but not impressive. The Marines and Army recruiters were fantastic and spent as much time as he wanted answering questions and discussing programs he might be interested in.

Long story short after knocking the assessment test out of the park the Army had more carreer options he was interested in. He will sign on the dotted line today and plans to apply for the Green and Gold program in a couple of years to train as an officer. (Well within his abilities if he chooses to work hard for a few years).

Congratulations to him, and to you Dad. I’m sure Mom is right there too.
