Soda size (and portion size in general) has expanded significantly over the past couple of decades. It’s part of the notion of value - that you get more for your buck so it’s a good thing. And that’s the flip-side of the argument for the super-sized soda ban.

I’d rather have Bloomberg work with soda makers/distributors/sellers to voluntarily reduce soda portion sizes - noting that they’ve ballooned just as waist sizes have.
