Doesn’t matter where it would have started. As soon as any noise about gun control starts, the gun lobby immediately starts with THEY’RE TAKIN’ YER GUNZ and the idiots and rubes fall in line. Things go nowhere, fast. Laws and regs, no matter how reasonable, get neutered before they’re even passed.

Doesn’t matter where or when it would have started. Obama would have gotten the brunt of it and the same shit that’s being said now would have been said then. Even Sandy Hook couldn’t stop the NRA from their usual tactics.

There is far more to this than the NRA and west wing drama. How effective are the NRA guys in CA and NY state legislatures? LA City Council? Ever read the Sullivan act? (NY)

We got the NRA and GOA on one side and “poison pill” regulation advocates on the other. Or those that want the 2nd just gone.

I’m trying to get past that noise. Keep embracing it and yes the job of doing what we need to is harder. When outrage is the word of the day then progress has likely been delayed.

I hope you are noting my support for the Presidents approach as you think of my position, which is a long freaking way from the NRA.
