Yeah, which is why the GOP is attempting to scare seniors into opposing healthcare reform by claiming it will cut their Medicare benefits. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are around because they have by and large been extremely beneficial for America as a whole. The GOP knows that if the Dems can pass substantive healthcare reform they will lose an entire generation of voters, just as they did with the New Deal.

The health care plans to borrow from Medicare to fund portions of it. That’s not a scare tactic, thats the truth.
