Speaking to my teenage students in our early morning bible study class, I got the scoop on the Senior Trip to Disneyland just concluded. (This high school is one of the top ranked in the state.)

One girl said a bunch of the seniors were busted for shoplifting at the Disney Park Stores, some of whom are in honors classes with my students.
The Class Valedictorian was sent home early from the trip for going to Pleasure Island and drinking, and getting very drunk. He will not be attending graduation.

There are many morals to this story…..

Sounds a little like my senior trip to Quebec, a loooooong time ago. Only Canada’s drinking age was 18, and no one bothered checking (I was 17). I wonder what got into the valedictorian that he blew all that hard work over one stupid mistake.
