I also think using the “I” form, and calling Zimmerman’s family racist, are counterproductive as well. As I said, I don’t think that Zimmerman displayed any more racism than is present in the majority of the US; to most people, ‘racist’ means ‘more racist than I am’, as in, explicitly hating another race or believing another race to be inferior.
I think the website makes a lot of sense to and would appeal to someone who already agrees with you, but will do very little to persuade or inform anyone who doesn’t.
