Meyer is a musical genius who happens to be an arrogant little Paulian racist.
When John Lennon said, arrogantly, that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ it created a momentary sensation but most fans gave him a musical pass. That is what should happen here, unless Meyer himself keeps digging.

have you ever seen the Lennon interview?…he was in fact ripping on the hysteria surrounding the band, and in fact tried to clarify his statement more than once….if you really think that was made from arrogance than I say you are wrong…it wasn’t….Lennon was anything but arrogant
