The visit also confirmed another old adage that you always get more of whatever you subsisize because I have never seen so many homeless panhandlers in my life than I did in San Fran. Its a regular cottage industry there.

You know that San Francisco used to be a destination for vagrants. What the used to do in the “old days” was the cops would give the vagrants a one-way ticket to the nearest city. Kicking them out would be the reverse of that. Obviously, any city is a natural draw to vagrants since it improves your potential not only for pan handling but assistance.
