I don’t like his political philosophy either. But I’ll tell you something you may not know about him. My first husband was from the northeast Pennsylvania coal country. That area of the stae has a lot of families who immigrated from what became Soviet-ruled countries. Many of them tried to get families out from behind the Iron Curtain. Their congressman at the time was a man named Dan Flood. They always went to Flood for help. Who did Flood go to?

Ted Kennedy. Between the two of them, they rescued literally hundreds of people from Soviet Communism.
