Fear and movies is a not funny thing for me. My son was badly scared by “Gremlins” and we still have serious issues two years later. He refuses to go to the theater anymore after we took him to “Coraline”.

Acceptable movies are really hard for us to find. :(

My granddaughters have told me they won’t watch any Disney cartoons because “Disney is too scary.” I let them watch “Bee Movie” about a thousand times and they picked up on all the adult jokes in that movie.
