I think you’re in one of the test markets for Google Fiber. Comcast has upped their performance in those regions because of the competition.

It isn’t a done deal for us here in Nashville in regards to Google Fiber just yet; Google’s doing engineering studies and gauging support from Metro and residents through the fall, when they’re supposed to choose which cities are getting in this round.
