Well, to be fair to the shit, he just lied and claimed that Texas could secede if he wanted to, and that it might come to that. It’s a egregious lie, but it’s probably just more pandering, not an actual avocation of secession.

He’s toeing right up to the line if not outright crossing it.

When we came into the nation in 1845, we were a republic, we were a stand-alone nation. the governor can be heard saying. And one of the deals was, we can leave anytime we want. So we’re kind of thinking about that again.
