Oh not at all. Those were good years here! My point is that at the same time Gore brags about how robust the economy was during the 8 years of Clinton Gore, which it was, he never connects the dots between more economic activity and the increased level of CO2 in the atmosphere. But when factories are running overtime to fill product demand, that means those factories have a larger carbon footprint than they would have if demand was slow and they were shut down for weeks on end.

My point is, you shouldn’t brag about how the economic activity you produced was a good thing while pointing out that excess economic activity is killing the planet. But Al Gore gets away with it.

I realize you’re not a Gore fan, but he has dedicated himself to this topic through his entire career. It’s just that the “political climate” wasn’t there. There wasn’t much the Clinton admin could have done. It’s amazing what he DID get done. But these climate topics, healthcare even, all of that was just basically off the table at that time.
