Mah esteemed senator, Senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions the Third voted pro-torture, as is his wont.

I still say his name should have been that of an villain in a dramatization about the Civil War. I mean Jefferson as in Jefferson Davis, president of the CSA, Beauregard as in Beauregard who was the commander of the troops that fired on Fort Sumter, and Sessions which sounds almost like secession. The only thing more comical would be if he were a staunch liberal.
