If you can find a grocery store or market that sells pork belly, making bacon is pretty easy. And I mean the cured/smoked pork product, not the euphemism.


I enjoy ‘Good Eats’ with Alton Brown on the Food Network. Not long ago he did a show on how to select the meat and how to prepare your own bacon- it’s probably available on their site. Looked good, but too much time and work compared to just going to our local meat market. (We have a good one- not mass processed, made on site, by real guys with blood on their aprons!)
