Except “Jewish soap” is a myth. This piece of soap that was on sale is actually that classic RIF-soap that fueled the myth - it was misinterpreted as “RJF”, which the rumor would have as “reines Judenfett” or “rein[es] jdisches Fett” (“pure Jewish fat”), but RIF was, of course, the banal “Reichsstelle fr industrielle Fette und Waschmittel” earlier known as “Reichsstelle fr industrielle Fettversorgung”.
