I wonder what the average hatchling’s time spent viewing the site/comments is before they get to register. I know I spent a year coming here daily before I got lucky.

And yet I choose to continually lurk.

About a year for me. At that time, there were no “door opens” threads, no greetings to newbies … you just had to sort of jump in. Very intimidating.
