My husband is the sappy romantic type. He tells me I’m beautiful, brings me flowers for no reason, all that great stuff. But after 23 years, it doesn’t mean nearly as much to me as the fact that he’s always there, works hard to take care of us, and is a fantastic father. I hope your sister will be very happy. (And you too, you newlywed!)

I want my husband to be a provider and protector. ‘Course, he needs to provide me some diamonds every now and then but that’s just gravy.
