I was actually born to American parents in Salisbury England. As our UK contingent will know, you can see Stonehenge from Salisbury, if you climb an especially high steeple (8 miles north).

Years ago, I briefly dated a woman who was absorbed in New Age lore. She thought I must have tremendous paranormal potential to have been born so close to Stonehenge on midsummer day (woo-woo!). She was disappointed to learn that I had little confidence in such phenomena, to say the least. Not long after that she announced that she was going to Peru with a group of like-minded folk to meet some UFOs at a harmonic node or magnetic convergence or some other barren rock. She said there were rumors that Jesus Christ himself would put in an appearance. I told her to be sure and get pictures, and an autograph if possible. She denounced my cynicism and said I was out of touch with reality. As I said, the relationship was brief.
