Are we sure “Mat Rodina” is the guy’s real name? I found this when I looked it up:

Rodina-Mat, Russian for “Mother Russia”.

In the Soviet period, the term Mother Motherland (Родина-Мать, Rodina-Mat) was preferred

It looks like a pen name.
