A thoughtful person who has a mind open to being educated might respond to arguments outlining these parallels and understand the points you are trying to make. But these are not the people populating the tea party and those sympathetic to that propaganda to whom these appeals are being directed. The only word heard is NAZIS! Then the response “no, YOU are the Nazi! ad infinitum. It is not effective approach, IMO.

You are missing the dynamics here.

Most of them are stupid sheep. They are tasting the “power” of collective anger fot he first time in their beta lives. Like all bullies, their strength is in numbers and perceived popularity and fear.

The only message to point at them is, you are nazi scum and if you fight, you will not be able to bully us or cow us, in fact, we will kick your asses. It is important to make certain they get that we are not scared. Bullies only like easy targets.

The main message though is for the millions of Americans who think that the Teabaggers might be crazy, but really don’t know and are subject to the teabag propaganda. The point that the teabaggers really are nazi scum who will destory American values is not only true, correct and accurate, but an inoculation for the masses.
