Last year, back when the whole Tea Party movement was gaining steam, I was totally convinced that the association with the LaRoucher’s would keep the Republicans from going anywhere near it, for fear that they’d be tainted by association.

Then, come to find, it turns out that the GOP has completely abdicated any and all of the few principles they had remaining, in a desperate effort to try and co-opt any built-in constituency they could muster up, no matter how deranged they happened to be.
