Why do they even want MLK to have been GOP? Their movement hates any version of social change since the 1950’s, glorifies the secessionist side of the Civil War, etc.

Fascism tolerates contradictions, per Umberto Eco. The individual items of belief are all important as means to an end, even if they don’t fit logically together.
