I think either way it’s a tough situation for the Republicans and this may end up being a short term victory but a long term loss. The GOP establishment can either let the new bloods do their own thing which I think will alienate many people because many of them have a lot of crazy ideas and their rhetoric isn’t going ot help them. Or the GOP could try to control them and make them do what the establishment wants and that will piss off the hardliners who nominated these people in the first place since they’ll feel betrayed. I just don’t see this as the beginning of the end for the Democrats. I think they’ll rebound in 2012.
