Hey everyone. As some of you know, I finally got promoted (officially) on Monday. Well, after one week of management, I’ve only managed to screw up once! Not a big deal, but now that I’m officially in charge of my department, I’m beginning to learn just how screwed up it is. And now that people have to report to me, I’m learning just how unreliable they can be. Seriously…asking three times to run a set of tests that are getting the attention of upper management? Needless to say, I’m opening new job reqs to help boost the coverage on two of the five product lines I’m now responsible for. My hope is I’ll be able to get some good talent in and be able to compensate for the underachievers (whom I like, but shit, work needs to get done eventually).
